We are looking into it for our 2.5 year old and 5 year old. I have an IPad and I don't like that my kids use it because often they fight over it and I don't want it to get broken. I want to get something cheaper for them so they can play their own games on them. Mine are 2.5 and 4.5, and they mostly get it at the end of the day when I'm cooking dinner and they are driving me nuts. Never in the morning or before school/therapies, and they usually lose interest before the hour is up. I put it in kid mode and he plays educational games. You can place a time limit on it. We won't pay for the monthly subscription when it ends, we will probably just pay for a game at a time as needed. </p> <p>We got LO a kids Kindle last year for Christmas. No regrets. Once we broke the crazy addiction, we let them have 30 minutes of iPad time on Saturday/Sunday. </p> <p>I think tablets are fine in moderation.
