I can't believe how many places close for a week or more at a time! This year probably just a week or maybe two. It's fun to play house when I'm off but I do miss the help, a lot! Especially when it comes to cleaning (she cleans). I looked at our public school calendar and they have 12/24-12/31 off. We just make do and take extra days off if required. In addition, my inlaws (who provide childcare for us 3 days per week) went on holiday the week before the nursery closure so we have had a few days here and there to cover - but it wasn't too bad.
