I could only keep them a few days though, and my parents made me let them go. She loved looking at him through the plastic but didn't watch to touch him. We did the same when we dug up some worms and a garden snake. I try not to keep anything overnight but it's fun to keep for a little while. </p> <p>I remember as a kid my mom let us paint on the shell of a turtle with nail polish to see if it would return. Probably not a great idea but I remember the fun of exploring wild animals. </p>
