Omgggggggg I hate critters and never wanted to catch or keep any growing up.
The land we're looking to buy has a little creek running through it.
I hope my kids don't try catching any nasty critters! If they do, I'll live with it, but won't let them keep them!

i caught soooooo many growing up. brought a red ear turtle home and kept him for years before releasing back in the pond where we caught him. also brought home crayfish and frogs. i don't think we will let them keep them, but catch yes!

Catch, sure. Keep, nope.

I can't imagine catching much around here though. There are mice and rabbits around, but never let us get close to them.

Yeah I used to catch critters like turtles and frogs. I could only keep them a few days though, and my parents made me let them go. I'd probably make the same rule for LO.

Tonight we caught a little lizard and brought him in the house in a jar for her to see. She loved looking at him through the plastic but didn't watch to touch him. We did the same when we dug up some worms and a garden snake. I try not to keep anything overnight but it's fun to keep for a little while.

I remember as a kid my mom let us paint on the shell of a turtle with nail polish to see if it would return. Probably not a great idea but I remember the fun of exploring wild animals.
