We moved to a different town 4 years ago, pretty much right after we voted for the last presidential election. Never re-registered in our new town. In all the new baby craziness somehow just figured we could change our address when we got there (even though it was a new town...). They will throw out your absentee ballot. My dad does this every year bc he's a tran engineer on call 24/7. You get your ballot in the mail and then mail it back or drop it off at a ballot box. Same in Washington state too. I've read that over time it reduces election costs.
