Right now we have a nanny for the 2 days I work and she will be able to provide care for DS when he gets out of school. I usually get home from work between 6:30 and 7, and even though it's more expensive I prefer to give him the option of having some down time and individual attention during the day. Our school offers before and after care on site, but the hours/days are limited. Currently our daycare/preschool days are 7-5:30. DH works 4-10's and I doubt he would give that up. He'd have to flex pretty hard to do school pickup or drop-off and I can't do both. If not, we'll probably try to do an after-school nanny share, since it's almost impossible to get into the official before/after program. I'm really happy that she will be able to come home at a "reasonable" time and have some time to decompress before the rush of dinner/bath/bed. </p> <p>Will your LO have to use before or after care (or both?) </p>
