I hate to see my little guy sick, so if there is any way I can prevent him from getting sick (aside from living in a bubble) I will. And I would hate for him to get another child sick if he ever did get the flu. I know it doesn't protect against all strains, but some protection is better than none! Especially because he has to have boosters (if I understand correctly). LO is in daycare, but I would have gotten her the flu shot even if she wasn't. Our pEdiatrician was neutral on the vaccine. My LO was not in a daycare environment, so I opted out. I did panic late in the season though when we had a big outbreak here. At that point, I regretted my choice.
