He usually eats any kind of fruit whether he's seen it before or not - how he knows its fruit, I don't know, maybe because its cold? With anything cooked, he either ignores it, tests the texture out in his hand (i.e. mashing it with his fingers), and if we're lucky, he'll take a tiny tentative nip. LO1 is 50/50 on new foods. It helps if she makes it with me. We made a dairy free chicken pot pie last night that we've never had before and she ate it right up, even though it had peas, lima beans, corn, and green beans in it and lately she isn't into green beans or limas. LOL But, if she doesn't like it she will immediately spit it back out and that's it on that item for the rest of the meal.</p> <p>DD1 (almost 4) used to be that way, but in the last 6 months or so she has gotten more apprehensive about trying new foods. Generally we have to coax her and we always say if you don't like it, you can spit it back out! 9/10x she will try it and I'll say 75% of the time she ends up loving it. </p>
