My mom will be in her late 60's, and my dad will be in his mid 70's. Based on their health and the longevity of my grandparents, I have good reason to believe they will still be around. His parents are a lot older than mine though. They are 50 and 52 now which will make them 68 and 70 when our first baby is 18. However, I routinely panic that they won't be around. My mom's dad died when I was 4 (she was 31) and she has always felt like she got robbed of her dad and seeing him with his grandchildren.
