Only I want to use a derivative of it though- Will or Liam on the birth certificate instead of the formal full name. </p> <p>This still cracks me up: Raymond was always going to be the first middle name for a boy. Cam was going to be Will Raymond originally- my husband and I were talking it over at dinner one night and he stopped and said, "My dad will call him Billy Ray as a joke." That ended that name combination immediately! I mean absolutely no offense to anyone that chooses that combination... It is DH's dad's name and he passed away when DH was a boy and it is a way to honor his dad. I love William as it is without any nicknames and do not know anybody who has named their boy William. If I didn't have that association, I love it. I'm working on getting over that since I'm in a more metro area now. I seem to hear Will a lot more than William around these parts. It does seem like popularity is a silly thing to worry about if you love a name.
