<description>&#60;p&#62;@bees_knees: The house I grew up in had window wells, and we just had some plastic covers from home depot or lowes that we used to cover them.  Did the trick.  None of us kids ever fell in.

<description>&#60;p&#62;We just moved to a new house and it has REALLY deep window wells. We looked into getting some window well covers custom welded, but it was $$$$$. What do you use? Looking for something mostly for safety, not necessarily to keep debris, etc out.
