Loved our bog boots last year and will get another pair this year. They never got wet on the inside and were fleece insulated, even when the outside was wet. I will say that they are wider on the top/around the calf, so I made sure to tuck them under LO's snow pants so no snow got down the top.

Oh those look a little easier. We had these ones- cute and they kept her feet really warm but I wish the top opened a little more.

@Foodnerd81: This is the style I bought this year, I think it's the same as the previous pair, just a different color. I found it pretty easy to loosen the elastic laces and we never struggled getting them on. I could see how a smaller size would be more difficult to get on though.

@lamariniere: did they open up at all? I just felt like it was such a struggle to get them on. Maybe because she was still little and not that helpful (like a year and a half this past winter). Once they were on I liked them.

We had Sorels the last 2 years and I bought them again this year for DS. I actually find that they are very easy to put on.

@.twist.: I was just reading reviews on Bogs! Some reviews say they get wet immediately but others say it's only the outside that's wet while the insides stay dry? My LOs will be 3 and almost 2 once real winter comes around - would they need something more structured? TIA!

Following since we are in exactly the same situation! We had Kamiks last year and I found them extremely difficult to get on and off her.

Bogs were the best winter boots I had found last year. I plan on getting them again! Super easy to get on and real cute.

Since everyone is starting to think about winter again, thought I would start looking for winter boot recommendations for toddlers. Last year we had a hand me down pair of sorels for LO, which were plenty warm but kind of hard to get on.

This year I expect she will be walking more, but actual time outside playing in the snow will probably still be limited since we will have a newborn. So looking for something she can walk well in, easy to get on, and warm enough but they don't have to be the warmest ever. If this winter is anything like last year, playing in the snow will be limited since it will be taller than her again! (Dear god, please let that not be true!)
