@Silva: We have stonz boots! They're great! We haven't used them for winter yet, but used them for rainy days and they work well over DS's shoes. We also have the liner to add in for winter.

@scg00387: I've heard that they aren't waterproof enough for long play in lots of snow...?

@Silva: why do you think the bogs won't work?? Also not sure what size she's in, but I was looking at Stonz last year and ended up buying a similar pair from h&m that were way cheaper and worked really well.

@Silva: Can I live through you? I'm dreading the trying-boots-on thing. By the time we've got snow, she'll be a walking pro...but winter boots are so HEAVY!

@Mrs. Oatmeal: I did see the liners! I keep finding reviews for babies and new walkers that are pretty positive, but nothing for a more confident walker. I just can't picture her being able to manage the thick sole on those boots! I'm thinking we will have to go try stuff on at a store....uggggggh. I'm so lazy.

I'm looking at getting K some Stonz this year. I know that Kamik or Columbia boots might be a little better, but they're super clunky and she will be doing a lot of walking at daycare.

Have you seen the Stonz liners? They're sherpa/fleece and pull on like socks before the boots. I haven't tried them personally, so I'm hoping that other people have some insight!

We live in a climate with long, cold, snowy winters....which we love!
I need something that is lightweight and flexible, but warm and waterproof. I've been doing tons of googling....

Any experience with stonz boots? Was thinking I could send her with wool socks, fleece lined pedi ped or whatever boots and then the stonz for on top for snow protection? That really won't be warm enough for walking in/on snow, will it?

Any other suggestions? She does well in her baby bogs, but I'm worried that the thick, heavy, rubber soles on most snow boots I see (like kamik, which is what everyone around here seems to put older kids in) will leave her frustrated and stuck.
