Honestly, at home we still tried to go barefeet mostly since we do have the baby mats/carpet, and felt it was just easier for them to learn that way. I also did have the soft Robeez/moccasins, usually I save one pair for indoor only and then one for outside (ok who am I kidding, I have girls and multiple pairs to match outfits lol). We did Robeez and Striderite shoes, very grippy!. (Zutano booties are the only ones they would wear indoors). I still carried her to and from the car to places and she was really only walking inside.
