The fleece jacket is enough to cut the wind and keep her warm without adding bulk to the car seat. She'll also be wearing a hat. I think that's enough if you're not going to be outside for too long. I haven't but it is supposed to get really cold the next couple of days ( hovering around 10 degrees).... So now I'm worrying about being too cold or not strapped in tight enough. </p>
