We have a fleece cowl neck pull over from Gap that she wears and then a jacket when outside. The fleece jacket is enough to cut the wind and keep her warm without adding bulk to the car seat. We also keep a hat on her!

@crash806: I don't normally put her in a coat but, this week I plan on putting her in a fleece, over her outfit and then I'll tuck a blanket around her in the carseat. She'll also be wearing a hat. I think that's enough if you're not going to be outside for too long. Our walk from the car to daycare is 10 steps and I park in our garage.

I don't put him in in his snowsuit. Instead I do big winter hat, extra sweater or fleece hoodie, winter booties, and a blanket.

No it's too bulky. I use a thick blanket and a muff.

I know there is alot of debate on this, but do you have LO wear their winter jackets in their (convertible) car seat? I haven't but it is supposed to get really cold the next couple of days ( hovering around 10 degrees).... So now I'm worrying about being too cold or not strapped in tight enough.
