@Mammabare: I know I've read links and actual research, but yep it's better for little feet to be able to flex and grip which is easier with soft soles like robeez. I"ve never put LO in hard sole shoes, so I can't compare, but he wears robeez without any problem since he first started cruising and is now almost exclusively walking. We use warm socks and I have a pair of soft sole boots from h&m for over shoes outside.

Supposedly they impede proper development of the bones in their feet. I don't know details or other reasons. We used Robeez until she started taking steps. Then we switched to more substantial, but still soft, soles.

Hi all wondering why those hard bottom walking shoes fell out of favor? My MIL really wanted my little bear to have them but I just think there not very attractive to be kind :-). Anyways just wondering if anyone knew why or why not I should get these for my 9.5 month old? He's just starting to cruise and is still pretty shaky although he pulls up just fine and is starting to try and stand on his own by letting go. Would love to hear your thoughts!
