@Kaohinani: sorry to threadjacj, but I wanted to point out those wipes really aren’t flushable. They can destroy your plumbing - it happened in our old house.

@Kaohinani: omg I saw this thread had a photo in it and I was cringing thinking what it would be. :silly:

My LO had that occasionally early on but it mostly has gone away on its own.

Yes, she did. But I rigged a system for her. She had a pack in her desk, a pack in her backpack, the teacher kept a pack by the door for anyone (*hand cleaning, desk clean-up, or potty), AND then, I would use those tiny snack baggies and put 2 wipes each in them. I would tuck a snack baggie the pocket of her pant/skirt/short/hoodie/sweater whatever pocket and then one in her jacket pocket, and in her lunch bag. DD was never caught without them JUST IN CASE. 😳🤣

P.S. Cottonelle has tiny 10 packs now. I STILL send DD to school with them and she is nearly 11! They are a godsend!!!

@Kaohinani: I'm afraid the timing is creating this issue for mine as well. Did yours have to remember to take the wipes with her? I've been thinking about doing that because they're easier all around but not sure she'll remember with everything else going on.

I had this problem with my DD. She would come home with "racing stripes" in her drawers. 😒 It was due to a compilation of things: DD was too distracted and wanted to return to class activities, all the meanwhile, her teacher was giving the students 5 minutes each to "GO," which would make DD rush even more. She also began holding her BMs to the last minute which was compounding the issue because, by the time she would get to the lavatory, it would be "turtling" (* term from DH) which would also stain her undies. I also found out her school used single-square toilet paper dispensers. DD was trying to wipe using 1 or 2 squares because she could not pull more than that from the dispenser effectively!!! It was the perfect storm for a mess (* pun intended). I spoke with her teacher. In the end, I sent DD in with wipes to use and she was allowed more than 5 minutes to use the lavatory. Wipes and extra lav time almost completely ameliorated the problem. From then on, her only accidents were from being ill or from DD holding BMs simply not to "miss out" on fun activities. 😉

Since she started kindergarten, my 5.5 year old seems to be having issues properly wiping after #2. At least 2-3X/week she comes home with stained underwear - most times it's traces, other times like yesterday it looks like she didn't wipe at all. It's not an issue at home, and was never an issue in preK, but unfortunately I'm not getting a lot of insight from her on what's going on (bad TP? no time? too distracted?) and unfortunately I don't have any insight in how bathroom trips happen to even try troubleshooting. Any insights/suggestions?
