LO is 10.5 months. I usually pump two times at work, and LO eats three bottles during this time. I went down to twice a day pretty early, because I had a huge stash/surplus. Now I have a pretty significant deficit, and I have moved to sometimes pumping three times a day about twice a week, to make my stash last, partly because I have had a lot of leaky milk bags. I would think you would be fine with once a day at this point with your stash.

I pumped twice a day at work (working 8:30-5 or so) and fed right when I got home. I did this from 3 mos-13 mos of age, and added in a night pump months 9-12 due to supply dipping after taking cold medicine.

I think if LO is 11 months and you have such a freezer stash, you should be fine with once a day. I stopped pumping and day weaned at 13 months but was able to continue nursing morning and night until LO was 21 months, so if you want to quit pumping but still nurse part time, your supply should hold up to support that. Good luck!

In the beginning, I was pumping 3x a day and was able to produce enough and sometimes a little extra for Xander.

By 9 months though, my supply was dropping. I ended up having to pump 6x a day, even though Xander was only eating 4x a day. Plus I pumped on weekends after feeds just to have enough each week and a little extra.

I weaned off pumping right after Xander turned 1, dropping a pumping session every week until I was done.

ETA: They say your best output is in the middle of the night, and I had stopped MOTN feeds/pumps by 10 weeks. If you are no longer pumping at night, you may find your supply takes a hit.

@maybebaby: Hahah, i know.... I'm over it too, but with my own office and an LC for a boss, there isn't much incentive for me to stop :) The evenings and weekends were really the worst of it, so twice/day at my desk is not such a big deal!

I pump 2-3 times at work and nurse her on my lunch break. I feel like I hardly get work done.... I also pump one side in the morning and both sides before I go to bed at night.

I punched twice a day at work and stopped when he was 11 months. I had a good stash that I thought I would use, but by that time he wasn't taking as many bottles anyway. I still have some milk in the freezer and he's totally weaned.

I was pumping about every 3-4 hours at work for a year. We didn't have a freezer stash at the end though.

LO will 11 months old in a week. I pump twice at work. I have a pretty big stash, so I'm planning to go down to 1 pumping session in a couple of weeks, then stop pumping completely after her first birthday. Can't believe how soon it is!

I pump twice and also breastfeed her at lunchtime (her daycare is right across the street from my office). She's not quite 7 months old, so I still have a ways to go...I'm hoping to start weaning off the pump after her first birthday but to keep nursing at home/on weekends for a few months after that if she wants it and my boobs comply. I have a pretty good freezer stash so she'll be able to have pumped milk for at least a few more weeks after I'm no longer pumping, assuming all goes according to plan over the next few months.

@JoJoGirl: Woah, mama! Good for you! I ditched that pump RIGHT at a year, I was so over it. So far we're still able to nurse morning and night and sometimes once midday.

I went from pumping 3 times a day to 2 times right around where you're at-- I still nursed him more on my work from home days or on weekends, but i was trying to slowly wean from pumping since we had a lil bit of a stash. Supply didn't really take a hit nor did I notice much discomfort on my pump days.

Good luck!

I just finished work for the summer and have retired my Pump. I was only working 3 days a week and LO is 10 months. On the days I worked I BF her at 7am and pumped the other side. Then I'd pump at 11 and at 3. I was hardly getting anything anymore pumping at work. I'd come home with maybe 4oz total. Luckily she eats a lot of solids so really was only taking in 8oz BM so we were able to make it work. So glad to be done pumping. I'm planning on going down to morning and night BF sessions in September when I'm back at work.

LO is 14 months and I'm starting to back off the pump because I'm over it. I am down from 3 sessions/day at work (+1 at home) to just 2 a day at work. I also stopped pumping on the weekends.

Ironically, LO has drastically reduced her milk intake at daycare, probably because she's eating so many solids now, so I'm *building up* a freezer stash, even after cutting a pumping session.

I think next I'll wean off my 2nd pump session (right now I do 8am and 4pm), then probably keep the morning one for a bit so i can still nurse her am and pm at home.

DS is 11 months and I'm trying to wean from pumping. Hoping to be done pump when he turns 1. I went from pumping 3 times at work to 1 now. I nurse early in the morning and at night, but he only eats from 1 side. I'd love to have stopped pumping already since I have quite a bit in the freezer stash, but if I let my boobs go too long, they start hurting painfully because they're so darn full.

I don't pump on the weekends.

My schedule is kinda weird. I work 12 hour shifts and because of that I work only 3-4 days a week. Those days though I obv have to pump to make sure there is enough for the Hoglet to eat. Now, I have been working nights the last 6 months (6am-6pm)and she rarely eats at night anymore which has allowed me to build up a pretty nice freezer stash. My estimate is close to 200+ oz. I only was able to pump once a shift because of how busy we are. During the day my sister would just bring her up to me while I was sleeping for her to eat. I don't pump on my days off or when I am at home.

In two weeks I move to working the day shift (cue relief and excitement to join the world of the living!) And I know I have plenty of freezer milk but I worry about my supply since it is likely I will only be able to pump once a day. She is 10 months but still eats every 4-5 hours. I will be pumping/feeding in 6-7 hour increments the days I work. I plan to start weaning her after a year but don't have a set time line. It will really just depend on her.

How many times a day do you pump at work? Does it effect your supply if LO eats more often at home? When did/will you stop pumping esp if you happen to have a decent stash?
