Around 13 months we dropped to two 4 oz bottles a day. I was very lucky that I could usually get enough just pumping once a day though sometimes would dip into my stash.

Before that it was 3 bottles; we replaced the third bottle with breakfast at DC.

DS is the same age. Before summer break, I was sending 8 oz for 7am-3pm. Now that he is only going from 8am-12pm, so he has 4 oz.

@littlebittyhouse: Yeah. Trying to figure out the best way to transition to cow's milk and/or away from daytime BM. TBD...

@littlebittyhouse: Well, I produced a decent amount extra for a long time with my second, so that definitely helped. With my first though, I pretty much pumped around the clock to have that much. It sucked, but I was paranoid about not sending enough!

You are all amazing! So good to know that 8-10oz seems to be right on track at this age! She has really been loving solids so between that and condensing to two pump sessions it explains the dip!

@babypugs: I was really starting to sweat it - i pulled from the freezer yesterday which I hate to do because I don't have much of a stash!

@catlady: Dairy intolerance here too. She is doing OK with cheese and yogurt it seems but we are skipping CM.

@LindsayInNY: You're still sending 3 bottles a day? I am thinking I might just tie breastmilk to naps and give her water with lunch so...two 4 ounce bottles give or take....

@Adira: WHOA! You're an insane milk maker! If I had a bigger freezer stash I would prob continue to send her 12oz.

DD1 got 12oz until around 9 months or so and she started only eating 8-9oz and I started pumping less coincidentally, so I just sent what I pumped since she was doing well with BLW by that point.

LO is also 11.5 months. I was sending 10 ounces for a 6 hour day, but in the last week she has started to refuse to drink breast milk at daycare (we've tried bottle, sippy, straw, and regular cup). When she's home with me she'll still nurse every 3 hours though. I'm trying to decide if I should keep pumping in case she starts drinking it again, or taper off and try another type of milk or just solids and water.

My daughter did 3 four ounce bottles per day until she bottle weaned. But at 11.5 months I was starting to top off with whole cow's milk to start her transition and to help with my pumping deficit.

At that age, I was sending 18 oz (three 6 oz bottles). I was down to nursing only once or twice a day and they were eating three meals + snacks.

I don't know that they needed 18 oz during the day, but I had a decent freezer stash, so that's what I sent, and they drank it all!

I don't recall number of ounces but I think at that point I was just sending whatever I pumped the previous day, and not dipping into the freezer stash at all. It's normal for your output and LO's consumption to taper off as she approaches 12 months and is eating more solids.

DD will be one on Saturday. We've done 3 4oz bottles since she started daycare at 3 months. They were staggered around meals but when she moved to her current room at the beginning of the month, they started serving them with solids. I pick and choose my battles and since she's mostly drinking them, this is one I pass on. I'm also pumping less and cut down to 2 sessions when the supply dipped with 3 pumping sessions. I've mostly been getting the same amount with just 2 but it varies. If I pump less, sometimes she gets 3 1/2 oz bottles instead.

my LO is almost 9 months - and I only send in between 8-10oz of breastmilk (that's all i get from 3x pumping a day)... but we supplement, as needed, with formula, and he has two "meals" a day at school of oatmeal & yogurt mixed with a fruit or veg.

I used to always send 12 oz (in 3 bottles) and one small 2 oz bottle as extra just in case. At that age, I started pump weaning and we were given the green light from our pedi to slowly start mixing BM with hemp milk (my LO had a dairy/soy sensitivity). So she was getting the same volume of milk total, but I dropped the % of BM each week. By 12.5 months, it was 100% hemp milk.

I think I still sent about 15 ounces. I was pumping like 6-7 ounces a day in 4 sessions at the end, so I was relying heavily on frozen milk and really sweating it. Looking back, she rarely drank it all and was eating solids, so I'm sure she would have been fine with way less.

Oh boy its hard to recall. I think when DD was that age I was sending around 10oz a day. But I don't think she was actually using all 10 oz at Daycare. I was dipping into my freezer stash by that point though too. My production dropped off bad around 10 months and DD refused to nurse.

I have an 11.5mo who I am nursing - up until last week I was able to pump 11-12 oz a day and I'd send that with her to daycare. This week I am at a steady 9oz likely due to the fact that I dropped down to two pumping sessions.

Going forward I am just going to send her whatever I pumped the day before but I am curious about other breast milk babies that are around the same age/older!

She gets breakfast/lunch + 4oz breastmilk/dinner and her 2 'snacks' which are 4oz bottles. We also nurse on demand when we're together.
