@matador84 and @sungirl - thanks so much for the info! Sounds like I'll be looking at a combination of routines and will figure it out as we go. Good to hear that it's do able and others manage :)
@adira: it's always worse in my mind than it ends up being!!

Ok I'm only 2 weeks back to work with a 12 week old and 23 month old but this is what we do so far. I do as much as I can the night before lay out all of our outfits, make bottles, pack my lunch, get pump supplies ready, etc. Most of the time my DH helps get older DS ready but when I'm on my own this is how it goes. Wake, do hair and make up (shower night before) go downstairs pack up stuff, load it in car. Back upstairs wake baby, feed him, get him washed up and dressed. Into bouncy seat. Get older DS up, washed up and dressed. All into my room. I get dressed. Bring older DS downstairs then back up and bring baby down. Then load all up and head to IL's where they stay for the day. I'm lucky that they feed DS breakfast. If one or the other wakes up early it throws everything off. Oh I wake up around 5-5:15 and try to be pulling out at 6:40.

Wohm and i solo parent all week.
I get up between 5-6. If the baby is up, I nurse her. If not I let her sleep.
I get ready, sometimes shower in the am if I'm up around 5--otherwise it's at night. Do hair, make up, get dressed. I usually try and do all this first because I can't do it when kids get up.
I then go to the kitchen and wash bottles if I didn't do it the previous night. I pack my older child's lunch and then put bottles together for the baby. I pack my bag with pump parts and put get DS breakfast ready. Usually waffles or pancakes-something we can take on the go.
I get dd up. Get her dressed. Put her in bouncer.,
Get DS breakfast ready and load car up. Take milk out of fridge or freeZer and put in her bag.
Get DS up. Get him dressed. Grab his breakfast. If we have time, I sit him on my lap and maybe read a book or talk to him before we go. If running short on time, I put him in car and the. Go in and get dd and put her in car and head out. Most mornings I don't eat breakfast, but if I do I make it when I get DS breakfast ready.

@mkp17: Well mine won't be as close in age as yours, so maybe it'll be easier for me too! Mine will be 22 months apart and Xander will be 25 months when I return to work with two. Fingers crossed it's not as hard for either of us as we think it will be! <3

@Beebug: thanks so much! Seems like you are in the thigck of it with me right now!! Hope things are going well.
That sounds like what I'm going to have to do. Going to try in a week or so in order to have a good idea of what is going to happen when I go back and try to "perfect" (insert laugh here) as much as possible. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to plan on leaving the house at 7:15 in order to hit my 7:30 target :)
@adira: Thanks so much and good luck with the remainder of your preganancy! 2 under 2 isn't too bad...just VERY busy :)

I realize this isn't a WOHM schedule, but I will eventually WOHM again after mat leave, but what I had been doing everyday up to 10w DS and 20m DD was getting up and ready before them. DD usually woke around 7, we aimed to be out the door by 8:15 (to be at our destination at 8:30).

Before DD woke, got myself ready, if DS was up (no set sched for him yet/at that point) he was in bouncy chair or laying on my bed.
7:15 change/get dressed/hair did (DDs!)/sunscreen
7:30-8 DD brekkie, or longer, she's a slow eater. While she ate I would prep everything needed to get out door, nurse DS, eat brekkie myself.

I tried my best to start shoes on, getting out the door by 8:05, as somehow it always ended up easily being 8:15 by the time I pulled out!

Busy, but mostly good busy!!

Eta, any/all prep I could do I did/do at night when they were in bed. I have always regretted waiting til next am, too much chaos.

@mkp17: Yes, I think you are definitely going to be experiencing lots of night prep and early mornings! With Xander, I would always feed him early and then put him back in his crib and he USUALLY fell asleep, but I had to leave earlier than he normally woke up or got taken to daycare. Some mornings, I'd feed him and he wouldn't fall back to sleep, which was rough.

Since you're going to be doing mornings, I think your current plan definitely sounds like it makes sense! I just hope someone who's already doing it will be able to chime in and give you more advice! And then you'll have to come back and give me advice because I'll be going through this in Feb/March!

@Adira: Right now we wake DD up (or she wakes up on her own), feed her breakfast, get changed and out the door. I was thinking I would get up, get myself mostly ready (showered, makeup on, things packed up, etc) and then wake DS up and feed him his bottle before DD gets up. That way he can just chill in the bouncy seat while she eats and I get her ready and get myself dressed before heading out the door.
I see a lot of night before prep in my future and VERY early mornings :)

I'm really interested in this too!

What did your mornings normally look like? With us, Xander eats breakfast at daycare, so Hubs would just get him up and dressed and then take him. I'm guessing with #2 is here, I'll get #2 up to nurse/feed and then hopefully put him back to bed while I go to work. And then Hubs will get them both up to bring to daycare. But I have no idea which order he'll wake them!! I'm guessing the oldest first and maybe give him a quick snack (like toast) while he gets the baby ready.

As I'm preparing to go back to work in a couple of weeks, I'm trying to wrap my head around what mornings will look like so I can start practicing! (I'll deal with evenings later!)
Most mornings my DH will be at work very early so I'll be on my own to get myself and 2 little ones ready (one will be 12 weeks, one 18 months).
For those of you that work outside of the home and your kids go to daycare (or somewhere outside of the house), what does your morning look like? I'm having trouble deciding who to get up first, etc. DD normally wakes up around 6:30 am and DS does not have a set schedule yet. I would like to be leaving the house no later than 7:30 am.
Any advice, sample schedules are greatly appreciated!
