My twins are 6 months old. I have been back at work since October. I EBF on the weekends and whenever I can (there is nothing I hate as much as pumping). I work full time and pump at 9:45, 12:45, 3:45. I try to never go more than 3 hours except on Friday's. I cheat on Fridays and skip my 3:45 timeslot. I make sure the last thing I do before I leave is to nurse and then my nanny doesn't feed them after 4:30pm so they are hungry and ready to eat when I get home. We nurse at 5:30 and 6:30 because bedtime is 6:30-7:00.
My LC says to leave 1 oz per hour I am away so I need to lave a minimum of 20 oz but the way the bottles work out I need to leave about 24 oz daily. I can pump that in my 3 sessions. If I don't get enough, I use a little water. I leave 4 oz bottles for each baby.

Best of luck going back! This is my 2nd full week back to work, LO is 3.5 months old.

When do you nurse in the morning and the evening?
I get up at 6 and pump one side. Then I get up LO at 630 and feed her on the other side. At that point, DH comes in and gets her dressed and takes her to daycare. I go get ready.

Do you nurse all weekend exclusively?
Yes, unless someone else is babysitting. I do still pump in the morning on one side.

How many times a day do you pump at work?
My first day I pumped 3 times. But that was too much and felt like all I did was pump all day. I've been doing 2 times and that works great. Usually at 11 and around 345.

If you nurse in the morning, does that start the day for your LO or does she go back to sleep?
Yes, it starts the day for her. She up and happy until she gets to daycare and she ends up napping usually not too long after she gets there.

During the week:
Nurse 7 am
Pump 9 am
Pump 12 pm
Pump 3 pm
Nurse on demand from 5:30/6 pm until LO goes to bed (2 or 3 times)

On the weekend:
Nurse on demand - usually every 2ish hours. Pump only if I miss a feeding b/c I am out somewhere.

@JessLC: First off good luck going back to work! I found it was all mind over matter. Keep yourself busy, try not to focus on being away from your LO, just make the day pass quickly.

Now on to your question. I'm no longer BFing but what I would do was I'd nurse J in the morning around 7, he was up for the day at that point. Then I'd pump at 9, 12, 3 at work. Nurse as soon as I got home. I'd EBF on Saturday but pump on Sunday because I never had enough of a supply to have a stash in the freezer.

Good luck!!!

I'm returning to work in a couple weeks and I was hoping some of you WOHMs that nurse and pump at work can tell me your schedules. When do you nurse in the morning and the evening? Do you nurse all weekend exclusively? How many times a day do you pump at work? If you nurse in the morning, does that start the day for your LO or does she go back to sleep? Thanks!
