I usually work from 7am-3pm. We usually dont get a lunch. Just doesnt work good to take one. So work through that.
Its about a 15 min commute. So not too bad.

@winniebee: Our minimum is 2150 - every 100 over is a bonus. We're TTC now and based on how things are going, this will be the only year I'll be able to try and make the bonus. Last year was my first at the firm and took a while to get up to speed. And we hope to get pregnant this/next year. I have to at least get the minimum done to be secure in my job. Honestly, post-LO, I don't see myself lasting more than a year. I love the firm and people I work with/for but the billing just kills me. I'd look to go in-house for better hours, no billables.

@LindsayInNYC: I used to bill 2000 a year before LO. I cut down to 75% time and now I bill a lot less...and care a lot less ; )

I generally work 10-6 or so...

My commute in the morning is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I drop off LO at 9 and hit the road, get in between 9:45 & 10... Work until 6 - i am the first one to leave (grr) and usually am home by 6:30 (traffic much better on the way home).

hoping for a new job soon (3rd interview tomorrow!!) and my hours will be a true 9-5 with an hour lunch - so full time is 35 hours a week! a dream!!!

i have to bring home work many nights and most weekends where I am now :(

@ladyfingers: I work 9-5 with an hour lunch. Basically, full time for my organization is 35 hours a week, and we're not paid for our hour lunch. It's worth it to have that hour.

Also, I do have to work a few hours in the evenings 4-5 times a month. Part of my job is to document our organization's events, and I get comp time for any hours worked over 35. We get 10 sick days each year, and this year I have 11 vacation days (it increases by 1 day per year until you have 20 days).

My commute is 15-45 minutes, depending on traffic.

My hours now are 7:30am-4:30pm, M-F. We are throwing around me going back to work T-F after LO comes if we can afford it and my employer approves. I have a 25 min commute each way.

Our daycare is only open 8:30-5:30 so our plan as of now is to have DH do drop off and me to pick up since he rolls into his office at 9-9:30 each day and gets out closer to 6. His commute is only 15 mins and our daycare is 5 mins from his office and 10 mins from mine.

I work 8-3, but my commute is an hour or more, so I leave home around 6:45 am and get home about 4-4:15.

Next school year, I'll be on Mat leave from September-close to the end of November, then I have Thanksgiving break, 3 weeks of work, then Winter break. So basically, I keep telling myself that I only have to make it through 6 months of work (Jan-June) before I'm quitting and looking for something closer to my house.

I'm in the office Mon-Thurs, and usually work a half day from home on Fridays. I can take the whole day off if I want to and my schedule permits, or sometimes I work a full day, and I come to the office if I need to be there for a meeting.
My schedule is very flexible. On days when I drop LO off and DH does pickup, I tend to drop him off around 8, get to the office around 9, work till 5:30 or so, and then get home at 6:30. On days when I pick up LO, I try to get to the office by 8 (DH drops off) because I have to leave by 4:30. Those are my base hours- I also tend to work from home in the evenings when I need to, or will sometimes get up early to work on something before LO wakes up.

Right now I work 730-330 with no lunch (15 mins, but really...) I'm hoping that I can wrangle a 30 min lunch that I can split into 2 for pumping sessions, but we'll see

My work "hours" are 8:30-5pm but I rarely ever work those hours. Typically I am at work around 7:15 or 7:30am, I hardly ever take a lunch, and leave usually around 5:45. The mornings I go to the gym, I'll get in around 8 or 8:15am, which feels late to me. DH is super helpful, otherwise I would never be able to do what I do. Also, the 15 minute commute (30 minutes in the evening) is a huge help. The days I go to Boston I spend 3 hours commuting. Stinks!
