We trade off evenings, depending on what's going on. If he has class, I do evening. If he hasn't done it in a few days, he does it. Our routine is super loose, though. Whoever worked gets bedtime routine for some extra quality time and to give the other parent a break since staying home with a busy kiddo is no joke. I handle the rest of the morning routine (getting dressed, eating breakfast, brushing teeth, a little play or book time, etc.) and take him to school. </p> <p>Then DH picks him up, and hangs out with him till I get home. For awhile there, DH woke up and drove LO into daycare when he was small during the winter. When the weather got better, it became less of a need for him to keep up with us. So, I do mornings 7 days a week. At night, DH picks up LO while I get the solids ready to go. Since DH was out of town last week, I'm having him do more of the bedtime routine. During the reading part of the bedtime routine, I start to make dinner. In the morning, if I am around, I tend to do it, but I usually go work out in the mornings so he will get LO ready, but I usually make/feed LO breakfast. DH does most drop-offs in the morning, although I do it once or twice a week. At night, we alternate nights so that LO won't refuse one parent putting him to bed if the other isn't around. I love my "off" nights when I can have a few minutes all alone while DH puts LO down. He keeps her while I shower and get ready and then they are together while he gets ready and then he takes her to school. Then she hangs out and plays while I finish getting ready and packing up. When DH wakes, he does his morning thing while he entertains her and I finish up anything I need to do without a little lady at my feet. He gets her in the carseat and carries her out to the car for me when I leave to do daycare dropoff.<br /> PM - DH does daycare pickup and when they get home we all hang out and play until dinner time. I feed LO her dinner while DH gets her bath ready. While she is in the bath with him, I clean up dinner and get her nursery ready for bed (put out night time diaper, get pjs, turn on white noise, pick a book. Then I help get LO in her pj's (a feat of epic proportions) and we both sit with her to read her book. I pack the daycare bag, pump bag, and my work bag. DH takes the bags to the car because it's a lot to carry downstairs with a LO. I drop LO off at daycare.</p> <p>In the evening, I pick LO up. I usually give the bath and do the bedtime routine. Then I cook dinner and DH does the dishes including bottles and pump parts. I do mornings since DH leaves for work at 5:40. He gets off early and has baby duty until 530 or 630 and then while I do dinner. Then i usually take her after dinner and one of us gives her a bath, her nighttime bottle, and puts her to bed. I am out of the house from 6 AM - 5:15 PM and DH is out of the house 7:30 AM - 6:30/7 PM. </p>
