i never had one side shut down, but the more productive side actually switched a couple months in! so you can definitely get things working again. i just drank a lot of water, mother's milk tea, fenugreek and more milk plus and pumped and nursed!

@mrsjyw: mine have always put out the same amount when pumping unless I just fed LO on one (in which case I rarely pump both anyways). That is what makes it more frustrating. I just fed her though, and my low boob was gagging her like it did when I had oversupply issues, so maybe it just took a little vacation!

My right one is always fuller in the mornings than my left. My left also leaks while I'm feeding DS on the right and ends up pumping even less (he only feeds on the one in the AM session).

Well, I'm holding out hope it was just a fluke. I feed her on it this morning and is seems to be fuller than it has been in days still!

@yerpie110: Right, I was hoping it wasn't because of me doing too good of a job getting my supply down! P.S. I LOVE your profile picture.

Yikes, I haven't experienced this but it's one of my greatest fears as I've been dealing with oversupply for a few weeks now!

@anbanan15: Ugh, I really wish it had been my right one. I hate that one, it always is more painful and awkward for me when she is on it. I will be super upset if it doesn't get back up.

My left boob was always produced considerably less than the right. Towards the end it basically stopped producing all together...from what I could tell from pumping. It still felt full at times so LO may have been able to get more. I continued to offer it to LO as I did the right and pumped for the same amount of time but I was never able to get it to produce as much as it once had regardless of my efforts. Some days it did produce more than others though.

I haven't felt completely dry on one side, but my right side consistently produces 1/2 of what my left side produces. I usually try to start nursing on that side first to get it completely empty before switching to the other side, but it still produces less.

I hope you can keep feeling full again! Under supply can be very stressful!

On of my breasts decided to stop producing much the last 4 days. I was dealing with oversupply a month ago, and I have decided that undersupply is scarier. I think sleep and hydration played the biggest roles, but why just one of them? Also, it was my preferred one to put LO on. I've been pumping and putting her on it regularly to try to get it back up. Drank a lot and ate two oranges before bed last night. I hope it continues to fill throughout the day! Has anyone dealt with just one boob shutting down on you? Did you get it back up or did it stay low?
