I waxed the week of my scheduled section - 38.5 weeks with twins. I was HUGE!!! But there was no way in hell I was going to go in there without a trip to Brazil. I will say it wasn't as bad as I thought but the waxer did say she was suprised I tolerated it so well. I've been waxing for years so that could have something to do with it. I wouldn't make it your first time while preggers.

I managed to take care of it by feel... not too difficult if you start trying it without looking before you get too big!

I tried to keep things "reasonable", but it's not easy with the belly. Honestly though, as a medical person myself, they really have seen it all. Worry about your own comfort, not theirs.

I want to keep it trimmed down there, and am currently able to do it myself at 28 weeks. We'll see how that works out as my belly continues to grow.

I'm too scared to wax and having a harder time shaving now. I think I will just try to keep things tidy until baby comes. I don't really care that much because as others have said, they've seen it all!

I did have a really hot young doctor today for my routine prenatal and the thought "OMG why can't you be old and ugly???" ran through my head a few times.

I was in the process of getting laser hair removal before getting pregnant ... you can't do it while pregnant or breastfeeding, but thankfully most of the hair is gone. It's the lighter (more difficult to get to hair) that I'll have to shave (and I'll try to keep up with it during pregnancy ... at least when I have appointments).

I've heard waxing is really painful during pregnancy. Anyone experience this?

I shaved till I needed a mirror and then still tried to do it blindly, hot mess. For waxed at 37 weeks. Glad I did, helped me feel more normal in those first weeks after baby.

I shaved throughout my pregnancy with DS. I would usually sit in the tub and shave by feel. Either way, your doctor has seen so many patients! I'm sure they have patients that never shave. I don't think they really care.

yep, all 40 weeks until I was induced!
I hate the feeling of stubble/hair, especially being big & sweaty. And I could keep an eye on my episiotomy stitches afterwards.

Ladies. Woman scaping(ie wax, shave, or au natural) is easiest to maintain in you first trimester. Do you or have you in vain tried to keep up throughout your pregnancy?

I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up and the poor doctor has to find my baby through the jungle bush. If you know what I mean. Do you still go see a waxer?
