I've seen the Wonder Bumpers on nobetterdeal, but they are still over $100.

Otherwise I have no advice! They do seem really expensive, but I understand being very concerned with safety!

ETA: Any chance you could put him in a pack and play to play, so you don't have to worry about him hitting his head? A brand new pack and play would still be half the cost of the wonder bumpers.

Why is there a strangulation risk with the mesh bumpers?

I personally wouldn't pay that for bumpers...

We don't use bumpers in LO's crib for safety reasons (suffocation risk, but also don't use mesh bumpers because of the strangulation risk - I'm very paranoid!). Sometimes we put LO in his crib to play with some toys, and it's bothering me how he always manages to hit his head on the crib bars (he's sitting now, and will topple himself over into the crib bars when he gets tired of sitting). It doesn't bother him, but it couldn't be good for his poor little head!

I was going to get a bumper set and put it on only when he's playing in his crib. Then I saw Wonder Bumpers, and was wondering if anyone uses these and what people think: http://www.mypreciouskid.com/wonder-crib-bumpers.html

Do you think this is safe to leave on, or should I stick with my original idea (or maybe just not be bothered by LO bumping his head, as he doesn't seem to be)?
