@kml636: I did the same thing initially b/c P was 12 days late. Once I counted from her edd they were spot on. This last WW she hit 1/2 a week early but otherwise she sticks to them.

First grey week she gets to where she won't fall asleep on her own at night, then kinda goes back to normal but have some trouble during nap time. Then during the WW itself she won't fall asleep on her on AND she wakes TONS through the night. Right about the time I start feeling like I'm going to "make a bad habit" she returns to her normal falling asleep on her own & waking a couple times a night self.

@googly-eyes: Lol. I usually forget about the WW until a couple days into her odd sleeping then think "Hmmmm maybe it's a WW" so I go check the chart and sure enough there's one coming! lol

@googly-eyes: @runsyellowlites: oh, I didn't know that you count from your EDD. She was 9 days late, so that may be it.

My little boy was most definitely textbook in these areas. We had the 4 month sleep regression and for every single Wonder Week. The only other bad sleep is if we did something (such as keeping him up to late or traveling). So the WW app helped us immensely.

@kml636: Did you count from your edd? And the 17 week WW grey period starts as early as 14.5 weeks so it could very well be that.

@googly-eyes: I don't believe in wonder weeks.

My babe sleeps like an angel...but some days he will just not be in the mood. He will be fussy & pissy and just: a handful! The moods don't match up with any weeks in particular and they never last the whole week and sometimes if we have 2 bad days, we'll have 2 good days and then another bad day! No consistency.

@kml636: That is close to the 4 month mark though? Mine skipped that and had a minor regression at about 5 months 1 week or so?

I'm also wondering about this. She is in the middle of a regression at almost 15 weeks... Not a specified wonder week at all.

P's major sleep regressions happen during WW spot on. She always has sleep "problems" when compared the common idea of infant sleep patterns though..... Since I don't expect her to sttn & consider night wakings normal she seems to have pretty consistent wakings/regressions. It's basically teething or WW. Lol

I completely agree. I read the first half of the Wonder Weeks book. My take-away was that babies develop and get fussy. The fussy periods and sleep problems can last for weeks before and/or after the WW. Plus, fussiness and sleep regressions aren't always related to WW.

So basically: your baby will be fussy and have sleep problems at some point(s). There's a reason. You may or may not know the reason.

I think I have determined that the main idea is that either of the above can happen at any time, for any reason.

Fussy periods and regressions in sleeping habits have not coincided with the wonder weeks or the regular periods for me. Luckily nothing major yet, but they seem way more random than I expected, so I think I give up trying to predict them!!!
