I like that the CBE Advanced give you the estrogen curve (high fertility) and not just your LH surge. My LH surge is short and happens the same day as ovulation for me. Having the extra lead time is nice. The CBE Advance miss my LH surge sometimes though, so, I do double up and test multiple times with cheapies when I'm close to o.

I took Femera this cycle (2.5mg days 3-7) and used both wondfos and cba OPKs and both have me peak on the same day, cd16. Maybe it's because my Femera was earlier in the cycle? I actually thought I missed ovulation or something because my wondfos weren't getting dark and my CBA was just blinking smilies (even the day before my peak, just a light line) then on my peak a blazing positive and a solid smiley face.

@bhbee: Oh man, I didn't even think of that! Yes, you could be right! The advanced calculates estrogen and LH. Femara lowers estrogen production, so maybe that was messing with the test. Thank you! I will be using wondfos only from now on I think!

I always go by wondfos now! They've always been accurate and when I had the cbe monitor it never gave me better info. I forget how femara works but maybe it messed with the advanced since that one looks at two hormones, right? Not just LH like a standard test.

This cycle was the first time I took femara (cd 5-9 5mg). I started using opks cd 10, as instructed, and had blood work and an ultrasound cd 14 (a Thursday). That day the RE nurse called and said that I haven't ovulated and if I don't get a positive test by Monday, then to call.

I never got a positive on the Clear Blue Advanced (those damn smileys!) but did get a very clear positive test on a wondfo on Saturday and another very dark test on Sunday.

When I called on Monday, they asked me to come in on Tuesday for more blood work to confirm ovulation. They called later that day and said that I had ovulated, a few days ago - which lines up with my positive OPK. The nurse couldn't tell me why the I received two different readings.

Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just stick to the cheapies now (if this cycle doesn't work out) ?
