@mrs. wagon: i only did it for naps. i understand feeling nervous, but you need to do what you think is best. i thought i'd do everything by the book with my kid, but when push came to shove, we took risks (co-slept) etc. Go with your gutt, if you think that's too much, don't do it.

@Honeybee: @mediagirl: vibrations unfortunately aren't enough for lil miss wagon... :( she needs a good brisk bounce!

@Goldilocks1107: sounds like LMW. to get her to nap you have to get her to fall asleep in your arms first. then you can transfer her to the swing or even her bassinet, but she has these wakeful moments when she's grunting and if you don't quickly get her back to sleep she's up!!!

I don't think we would have survived without something that vibrates to help M get to sleep. She would fall asleep in her bassinet because the movie attached to it vibrates. She also falls asleep in the vibrating bouncer. Have you tried something that vibrates for her?

We're having this same issue with naps. At night, LO sleeps great in the crib. During the day, she'll only nap for 10-30 minutes MAX in the crib, then wakes up screaming because she's still tired and won't go back to bed. After that, it's on your chest or nothing. I even tried to lay her on her stomach on the floor yesterday in the hopes it was a "something pressing against my tummy and face" thing. No go - in 30 seconds, she was screaming and back on my chest.

During those nights the only thing that would keep DS asleep was the bouncy chair with the vibrations turned on. I love that chair!

@bpcmarj: I am soooo close to just going out today and getting a rock n play. If it doesn't work we could always return it. I'm just afraid we'll get it, set it all up, and it won't help at all!

@Clementine: Did you let him sleep in the boppy all night? I was thinking about doing this since she's in our room with us... but of course, the big tag on the boppy warning you not to let them sleep on it scares me.

Tight swaddle and maybe using the Boppy to mimic a human body. Of course, you should make sure she's in the room with you to be safe, but we'd put him down and kinda have the Boppy around him.

Penny was like this, too; Until we got the rock and play! A friend gave us theirs at 2 months and the first night we had it was the first time she slept anywhere but on me. She slept from 10 pm until 5am that night!! I use a swaddle me, sometimes with an A&A swaddle underneath, and she slept so reliably in the rock and play. I know you were looking to know about it for naps, but at night it worked miracles for us!!

My son slept like a dream his whole life, no issues, ever!

Of course I am being totally sarcastic, I can count the nights he's slept through on both hands and he's 20 months! You'll get through it girls!

Ugh totally remember that too. Honestly I remember it with much fondness... Tho I might not if I had a two year old lol
Dh and I took turns holding ds for the whole first month, then he slept with us until he was 3.5 mos and thats when he finally slept on his own in his crib.

Not much advice but I feel you :) good luck

Oh man, I totally remember those long nights (and days) :( :( I'm so sorry. There was a point when LO wouldn't sleep unless we sat there rocking her bassinet. I'd just lug the swing upstairs if I were you (or get DH to do it, hehehe). Good luck!! Hope she goes down!

Ugh... The past 2 nights Lil miss wagon has slept in 3 hour chunks. That was such a tease because now she won't sleep! Since 630pm she will fall asleep in our arms but once we put her in the bassinet, 20 mins later she wakes up crying. We've tried everything.. Not sure if we can get thru this night, we'll probably take turns holding her for an hour at a time! I'm this close to bringing the swing into our room and letting her sleep in it as it swings... But I don't even think that would work!
