My mom said all three of her kids wore double the size. Meaning, if we were 6 months old, we were in 12 month clothes! It has almost been true for my LO as well. She is 14 months old and in 24 month jammies!

@dagret: I was afraid she was going to be like that! My mom said we all started out like this and evened out once we were mobile.

@mandb36: I cried when I put my 4 month old in 6-9 months. She's 7 months old and still in them though! The pants and sleepers are getting a touch short, but still totally wearable.

@winniebee: I know. It's so totally backwards from normal to be happy that she's not growing. lol. I think it's always stressful when your child is outside the "norm", whether it's bigger or smaller.

Wow, big girl!

I have the opposite wish for my son - born 5 lb 5 oz and 17.5 inches.....and at 5.5 months not sure how big he is but probably 13 lb and 24.5 inches....I'm always hoping he will be big enough for his size clothing - he fits perfectly in 3-6!

@dagret: My nephew has been in 4T for a few months at least and he just turned 2 in July. He's really tall for his age.

@zippylef: You're giving me hope! We're about to get LO 6-9 month clothes and I'm really hoping we get a lot of use out of them! We measured her yesterday and she's still between 25-25.5 inches (if I measured correctly, I thought she was longer) and around 15-16 lb though so her growing has already started slowing (she was 25 in and 13 lb 5 oz a month and a half ago).

Wow, that is one big baby! But proportionate - she's looong! DH's nephews grew like that and started to even out once they could crawl/walk...but the 2 year old is almost in 4T clothes.

Haha. I know that's so backwards from most people. C is a giant Amazon baby. She was born big and has grown like a ridiculous little weed since birth. She outgrows clothing so terribly fast, it's ridiculous.

Well, a month ago (at 6 months old) she was 21lbs2oz and 28.5 inches tall. Today at 7 months old.... she's the same! Woo! She's finally slowed down! She hasn't gained in a month and hasn't grown taller in the last 2 months! She's 90th for weight and 95th for height.

I just had a little celebration moment thinking about how she might get to wear her 6-9 months clothes while she's 6-9 months old! lol. She's been in them since 4 months!
