My department earns comp time for any hours over 35 worked, so we can save it up to supplement vacation time, 10 sick days per year, free water cooler, full kitchen, lots of paid holidays, and free meals at events.

my husband works from home, which is a nice perk in and of itself. they used to pay some of our expenses--internet, printer, ink, etc--but his company was bought by another one and they stopped that, boooo...

i'm in grad school but get a stipend + work as a TA, so it's kind of like a job, so i'll answer for me too :) the pay sucks though it covers my tuition too, and really any funding at all is really nice. i mostly make my own schedule and can work from home as long as i don't have classes or meetings. the university gym is super cheap for both me and my husband, and he has access to all the campus libraries too. i get university discounts on amazon and certain electronics and software programs. when we have a baby, i have some parental leave and can also take extra time to complete my phd. we could have had subsidized housing but we have dogs and couldn't live in the grad school apartments because they don't allow pets. plus, there's often free food at meetings--last week alone, between a 2-day conference and an evening meeting, i got 6 meals + 1 happy hour for free :)

I work for a health system. We don't have a lot of perks but the one really good one for a woman like me is that all hospital procedures are free, so my delivery will only cost me a provider fee of about $400 and our anesthesiology fee.

If we want continuing education that relates to our field, tuition is 90% covered by our organization. Our children's college tuition will also be 90% covered for a four-year degree.
Medical insurance has a high deductible ($2,000) but it covers air-lifting to neighboring countries, etc, and our organization will cover half of our deductible. Dental is also 50% covered.

We make a very low salary as aid workers, but we have a lot of benefits that make living on that salary doable. I'm especially thankful for the tuition assistance.

We have pretty great benefits - just about anything not covered by OHIP(Ontario health coverage) is covered by my plan (massage, chiropractic, dental, etc).
I get free hearing aids (if I were to need them), and a wicked discount for my family.
I get a year off for maternity leave (the government pays 55% of my salary), and while my company doesn't top up the wages, I still accrue vacation while I'm away.

That being said, there are a lot of negative things that I'm having a tough time overlooking...might not go back after mat leave.

I work at a college. Pretty strict hours and a dress code (no jeans), but get a lot of auxiliary holidays off (good friday, president's day, etc). Everyone assumes we get 3 weeks off at christmas, but we don't (have to work even if students are gone - only get christmas day and new years day off).

The big one for a lot of the employees is that if you have college age kids, they can get 50% off tuition to the college.

He buys snacks and lunch on a regular basis, free bottled water, paid life insurance for my son and I. I couldn't ask for a better boss, I could ask for better pay though!

- no set vacation, but we are free to take time off as long as we have work done.
- good insurance - which i dont use, but I get reimbursed for using DHs.

- I think an academic schedule is definitely a work perk.
- Depending on where my children eventually go to college, I could get incredibly discounted college tuition for them.
- DH and I are allowed to take one class for free each semester at my college (although I have yet to find the time to do that).
- I get $5 meals in the campus dining hall. The food is actually pretty good.
- Free parking.
- Free access to the gym on campus.
- $150 "wellness" benefit" -- They'll pay 50% up to $150 of things like new running shoes, fitness classes, or joining a CSA. Ours is going to our CSA membership this year.

We have great benefits (health insurance, 401k, 12 weeks paid mat leave + 3 weeks paid vaca). But we don't have a lot in the way of perks. We do have free lunches in the office but those are paid for by wholesalers not the company and it's usually super unhealthy food anyway. We do get discounted commission on trades in our own accounts but if you ask me I shouldn't have to pay a commission at all since I'm the one entering the trades anyway!

My work has some pretty great perks.
-All kinds of free snack food, plus free lunch every Thursday
-Water cooler with non-hospital water (you probably don't realize how huge this is, but it is!)
-Winter and summer party
-Discounts at local eateries, spas, movies, etc
-Student loan repayment
-large yearly contribution to our retirement accounts
-all kinds of continuing education
-occasional free tickets to University sporting events/lectures

Really I couldn't ask for a better work environment, and I say that in the midst of my high season!
