If you're interested in Target they have some cardigans on sale for $15 and today they have 30% off clothing with the cartwheel app.

I wear cardigans all the time. I finally settled on nordstrom's halogen brand, they wear really well (I wash using woolite on delicates), fit me quite well (run a bit small in the chest but it works fine to size up), and will also go on sale from time to time.

We don't have a target nearby, otherwise I would try those!

@glitterboots: not with adult clothes, but their kids clothes hold up amazing! My oldest DD (almost 4) is currently wearing a few hand me down Lands End dresses from my nieces....who are now nearly 15 and 13. The dresses look great! The styles are very classic and timeless and fabric quality is great (my sister refuses to hand wash or line dry anything).

I will say the cuts from Lands End, because they are more classic or traditional styles, will be looser than some trendier brands, so if you like a tight fit, you probably want to size down. The nice thing is I'm pretty are you can try their clothes on at Sears if you have one (and return mail order items there, too).

Happy shopping!!

Does anyone have experience with Lands End? Everything is 40% off this weekend and they have a lot of colors. Plus they come in petite sizes

I have white house black market one that I've had for about three years now. It's been washed a lot and still looks brand new.

I have a really nice one from Ann Taylor...not LOFT. The thing is I have to dry clean them for the weave to stay nicely.

I've had good experiences with cardigans from the gap. I also like to check consignment stores and goodwill for lightly used sweaters. That way, I can see how they've held up after a few washes.

I'm a teacher and at the beginning of this year I bought 6 cardigans from the Loft and Banana Republic. I like to wear cardigans because it's really hot here, but cool in my classroom. All 6 of my cardigans have major pilling and holes! I am looking for cardigans that will last me longer than 1 school year. Where have you had luck with clothes that last?
