I've added two 10-15 minute walks during my workday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It helps me stretch out my achy preggo body while also getting a little exercise in. And if you want to do a little more at home to help with muscle definition, get a couple of light weights so you can do arm exercises (and you don't really even need to get off the couch!).

Get a prenatal yoga dvd and do it when you can from teh comfort of your living room. Even just 10 mins here and there will really make you feel better. Your weight gain sounds great, you'll be fine!

If you do want to exercise now I found the most luck with an exercise bike - low impact and I could find a way to sit comfy or maybe try an elliptical? Pools are probably good too, chlorine made me feel nauseous though so I didn't try out that avenue.

I agree with the other pps. Now is not the time to jump back into working out full time again. Your weight gain isnt bad at all, and truthfully, most of it is probably baby related. The only thing that you might notice afterward is that some of the muscle definition will be reduced. My advice would be to do what you can. you can always get back into a routine after the baby is born. You will be surprised at how your body looks at 3 months pp. And there are always Spanx for the wedding =o)

I think you'll be fine too. Just don't stress yourself out too much or start doing too much too soon. Make sure to relax for the first couple weeks after pregnancy, maybe just going on light walks when you feel up to it. It will pay off to let yourself recover. By 3 months I was pretty much back down to my normal weight even though I was running so much slower than normal. Between breastfeeding and light workouts and running around with a baby lots of calories were burned.

I think you should be fine. 13lbs at 27 weeks is really good. At this rate you'll probably only gain 25-30lbs. I would just continue to eat healthy and walk or do prenatal yoga.
I lost 30lbs in 6 weeks without even trying. I ate a ton too.

Before I got pregnant I was constantly working out. I saw a personal trainer twice a week for an hour and went to the gym the other 5 days for an hour / sometimes only 4 days (or would run 3 miles outdoors).
Since it wasnt ever more than an hour it wasnt too extreme but I felt good, I was eating better and my bmi was at its best.
I managed to get my body at the best its ever been.
Then I got pregnant. The first few weeks I stuck with my fitness - but then came the nausea & I went from working out all the time to ZERO.... I was one of the lucky ones to have nausea for a little over 20 weeks.

So now here I am at 27 weeks and the guilt is starting to kick in. During the horrible nausea it was very hard to eat so I didnt really eat healthy AT ALL. I would puke most of what I ate anyways. Now that I am able to eat better, I still dont eat as good as I should. I feel the need to workout yet after working 5 days a week for 9 hours, I havent been able to get to it. I went for a 2 mile walk with the husband the other day.. and that was it... with so much going on its been hard to make it a routine.

Although I have gained 13-14 pounds at this point - I am extremely worried about how my body will look after pregnancy.. and to my luck I was asked to be a bridesmaid at a wedding taking place 3 months after my due date.

Anyone have any tips?!

*note* I searched to see if there were any other similar post but didnt find anything, if I missed one.. please link me :).
