@Mamaof2: We ended up doing Chisel Cardio just now since I don't seem to have Master's Cardio in my eBay set. :( Ah well. I wonder how important it is to do everything in order. I feel great I'm finally doing it and I just know it's going to show results if I stick to it. The idea that it is 'only 60 days' is motivating. 21 DF is just ok in my opinion. That's the one I'm doing with my work group. I just find it 'dry'. It's fun when I do it in a group so we can chat while we do it.

@Mamaof2: Girl!! DH and I started Day 1 of Hammer and Chisel yesterday! We did the Monday start on a Wednesday so we will do Master's Cardio today. Totally pumped! :) I've started eating way healthier (think kale: super salads for lunch). Change is such a slow process. I think I was patient enough with myself not to get discouraged and am still making progress. How have your workouts been? I just saw that you met DH in the gym. No wonder you are so hard core!! :)

@808love: There is cardio! Cardio Agility is a favorite of mine!

Also there is a bonus workout called The Masters Cardio - I did that instead of the Plyo workouts because jumping kills my knees!

How is everyone doing? I am back on the workout wagon again this week. I read something on yo-yo workouts (on and off again) and it really motivated me to stay steady to my routine. I also noticed I think much more creatively during the day when I have workouts in my routine.

Hi everyone! Can I join in on this thread, a little late?

I gave birth to LO2 on January 8th. I'm 8 weeks PP today and at a weightloss plateau, even though I still have 20 pounds to lose! I'm seeing a trainer once a week and attempting to follow the "Train with Tanya" app, which has short HIIT workouts that I can do at home.

I do pretty well with food choices during the day and then binge after 7pm. I'm also terrible about tracking my calories. Does anyone have a calorie tracking app that they love? I've used LiveStrong and MyFitnessPal but find them slightly tedious.

Hoping I can be motivated to go get my workout in right now!

@HappyBaker: Is that ballet focused? Awesome!! A long time ago, I used to do a workout video called New York Ballet (I think Sarah Jessica Parker did the intro) and it was amazing. I didn't like the second video too much but the first one rocked my world.

Joining super late but finally motivated...only took me 2 months haha :-)

I've struggled for a really long time to find a workout routine I like enough to stick to and also find time to squeeze it in. I think I've finally found it in Pure Barre! A studio just opened like 10 minutes from my house, and they had a free open house week a few weeks ago that I dragged a bunch of friends to because I was nervous about looking stupid alone haha. I absolutely loved it and signed up for their 5 week new client deal, and I've gone NINE times in the past two weeks. That is seriously unheard of for me!

Hi! I'm so out of it. I couldn't transition out of T25 so I'm just starting Beta again so I'm consistent. I pretty much took off most of February (and didn't want to take any pics!!) so here it is March and I'm doing the food journal again. I packed my lunch ahead and I'm back on it.

Hammer and Chisel was 60 days

@Mamaof2: Hey! Good to hear that all is going good! Hammer and Chisel is a 30 day thing?

I want something that is fun and that burn a lot of calories (duh hahaha) so I can eat :) I personally prefer cardio over weight lifting, but it really depends. I like my friend suggesting me on this "dance" dvd (I don't have the name in front of me right now) also by beachbody. I really want something that burn calories though because if after 30 minutes I see that I only burn 50 calories on my fitbit I would lose interest and not want to wake up in the morning to do it. You know what I mean? That is also the reason why I am slipping on the yoga and pilate days on 21 day fix because it is "restorative".

Hammer and Chisel scares me because of all the extra gear, I really don't want to buy more junk to fill up my limited attic space!

ETA: By the way it is so weird... nowadays I do the same work out sometimes I burn 50 calories less than what I used to. I dunno if my fitbit is breaking or what's going on.... :( I am still sweating like a pig!

I find on weekends I have been slacking with food choices and then Monday back at work I do better - #1 reason I could never be a WAHM or a SAHM - I would eat crap all day :bummed:

How is everyone doing?

I am still working out every day for 30 minutes, but now I tend to slip on the weekends. I have a fitbit, so I make sure I walk and/or burn the same amount of calories on the days that I don't work out!

After weeks of working out and watching my diet and thanks to the suggestions here and eating and snacking right, I actually like how my body looks and I am OK with my weight (I am now consistently 5+ lbs lighter than when I started. I wouldn't mind if it goes down by 5 more lbs but I am OK right now). So instead of killing myself, I am giving myself a bit of wiggle room for eating. I used to maintain a 500 cal deficit @ day, I am now keeping it to 250 cal deficit. I hope I am counting the calories right! But worse come to worse I would still be keeping my existing weight so it is OK. If one day I happen to eat more I'd jog in my living room. I think having my fitbit really helps because if I see I have reached my limit at night I'd stop that urge of eating another nectarine or snack :) SO that has been working out great.

Last saturday was the only day that I seemed to literally ate more than I burn by maybe 200 calories. I ate out so I was too lazy to count the calories. I went to dim sum mid morning, then sushi at night. I already was careful and ordered only sashimi appertizer and no rice anywhere. I shared edamame with my son. After I got home and do the calorie count, I googled online and realized dim sum is crazy high calories.... the worst was sweet egg tarts (my favorite) and it was 245 cals @ one egg tart, and I ate 1.5! I probably ate 800 calories in the morning (brunch) and 800 calories at night (I googled and calculated and sashimi appertizer, just 9 pieces of fish with no rice, was probably 400 cal on its own!), not to mention in the afternoon I ate the leftover from dim sum with LO. So the whole day went to drain.

Work out wise I was getting bored with 21 day fix. I still haven't figured out what to buy yet to replace it. I am getting tired of the instructor kept saying 21 days and you'll get the body you want, because I've done it for more than 21 days, more like 21 weeks lol. A friend told me to get piyo and some dance dvd also by beach body. I'll see. I am a bit afraid of hammer and chisel as I don't think I can keep up!

It is such hard work maintaining it. What about you guys?

@808love: I found some double protein bread so I eat that in the AM with either PB or avocado and 2 eggs - So I get some carbs but added protein too! (better than eating a bagel a few times a week which I was doing!)

I have been stressed and I eat when stressed so I think that is a big part of my problem - however, I weighed myself and didn't gain any weight and I am back on track now so that's good!

The weather has been wacky too - cold then warm - then bitter cold - so I think that is messing with my body too!

@Mamaof2: Haha! I just read my last post 11 days ago and I finally got my bagel with cream cheese yesterday! Actually I got it for LO and helped her eat it. :) Only 1/4 of it, so pretty good control.
I am not too good. I stopped food journaling for the past two weeks. I wanted to start back again, but just didn't. I have a house full of great, healthy foods again. And I started eating (and wanting to) salad again after many many months of not. I definitely am stalling though so I have to get back on it. Maybe we could start writing here again regularly.....?? :-) It really helped last months.

How is everyone doing?

This is the last week of my 8 week program and I am slipping! ha

I am still exercising but my food choices are going downhill - especially on the weekends - its easier to eat healthy at work because I can only eat what I packed!

Once this program is over I need to figure out what to do. Its been HARD working out 6 days a week. I think I will try 4-5 days/week for a month and see how my body reacts - I don't want to lose the progress I made but would love to reduce the days (DH travels a lot and so when he is gone its hard to get in my workout)

Working on water intake, as usual - I know I don't drink enough!

@Jackiedavis87: I'm still here =) Wow 7w pp and you are exercising - go you!!

@808love: my almost 5 yr old loves working out with me - its so cute!

I am doing pretty good - my period is about to start and I usually crave chocolate but this time it was carbs so I had a bagel with cream cheese - it was so good! Havent had bread in weeks!! This is week 6 for me and I have stayed on track with my workouts and about 98% with food - that bagel is the other 2% :silly:

@Jackiedavis87: I guess being a homebody has its advantages. :) Now that you mention it, avoiding pictures would actually make me even skinnier (in my head)! Great idea....J/k! I'm so glad you are doing before/after pics. This is the first time I'm ever doing them and I'm so surprised it shows.
