Thanks, everyone. After a weekend to decompress and go to a prenatal yoga class, I am definitely feeling better, though dreading tomorrow a bit.

I see my midwife on the 20th & I am going to talk to her about it. I'm not sure how much good a medical note would do though. I wonder if it might create more issues at work if I cut back on my hours, unfortunately.

A few of my coworkers have gotten doctors notes demanding that they cut their work hours. I highly recommend you do the same. As unsupportive as your management is, it's hard to argue with doctors recommendations.
In the meantime, try to take it easy and keep your stress down! :(

When's your next doctor's appointment? You should ask about stress and maybe taking time off before the baby comes/get a doctor's note to reduce your hours? I don't know how feasible that is. I think that all the stress will take a physical toll on you in the next weeks and if management isn't supportive, you may need a doctor's intervention.

My job is not really that stressful, but I started to become very anxious in the last month of my pregnancy. (I was terrified of going into labor at work, leaving my students without a teacher mid-day, and not being able to go home before I went to the hospital). All the stress gave me "false" labor and I had to take time off before I gave birth. As soon as I started my leave, the contractions stopped, so I think it was all stress.

I have a very demanding and taxing job. When I was in the first trimester I thought it would kill me but I just pushed through. When I got the second trimester, work slowed down, I started feeling great and having energy, and I was overall excited about the baby and in a good mental place despite the demands of my job.

Now I am 30 weeks and it is getting really hard for me to cope. I almost didn't eat lunch today or get a pee break for hours due to intense meetings, and I thought I was going to die. I worked about 70 hours this week and much of it was emotionally draining and stressful to the point I am feeling really anxiety ridden. I know this isn't good for the baby and honestly I am too tired to handle it, even though I obviously want to perform well at work.

Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do? I don't have much support from management. My team is sympathetic but they are also all stressed out.
