Went to the hospital at 330 pm. I was only dilated to 2 so I got a regular IV. Once I was admitted officially around 7 and they hooked up the antibiotic. My Contractions were between 3 and 7 minuets when I went in. I delivered at 409 am on Sunday. I started pushing around 11am. My water broke and I was 3 cm 80% effaced when I got to the hospital and was checked the first time. You won't be. No biggie. However my OB tells me that the IV needs to be going for 4 hrs prior to delivery to be effective. As such I'm supposed to call when my contractions are 7 mins apart (as opposed to the usual 5 min rule). Also I'm already 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. I'm worried I won't go in soon enough for the antibiotic!</p> <p>Anyone have experience with GBS? How quickly did your labor progress?</p> <p>Thx! </p>
