I'm sorry. :( I know you've struggled a lot with breastfeeding and you've worked SO hard to provide your daughter with breast milk. If you feel like it's not working for you, it's OK to stop pumping and nursing. Or just pump at work. Do what ever feels right for you and your family.

I don't have any advice, but I'm sorry this is so stressful for you! I know you have been so committed from the beginning. She has already gotten tons of benefits from the breastmilk though, and 6 months is HUGE! So whatever happens, you've already done a great thing for her!

I'd keep offering, but honestly, not everyone makes it to a year. Next time around, I don't even have a "time" goal. I am just going to have the goal of trying my BEST and going as far and long as I can. Don't beat yourself up! But, you never know, this could be a short phase. If you have energy left in you to deal with this, then i'd say keep trying with her.

Also, id get a slower flow nipple for your bottles so drinking a bottle is "work" too so she doesn't prefer that to the breast on the weekends

LO has never been that wild about nursing because we were supplementing with bottles of formula and pumped milk from the get go. My supply never took off so we could never stop supplementing.

But lately she has had absolutely zero interest in nursing at any time of the day. I can usually catch her and get in one decent session first thing in the morning. She'll nurse for about 20-30 minutes around 630 AM. I won't be empty, but she'll take the edge off the fullness. She eats again at daycare at usually 830 (cereal) then her bottles at about 930.

In the evening I can sometimes convince her to nurse but she is usually not interested.

On the weekends, I can't get her to nurse during the day. She's hungry, used to getting 6-7oz at daycare (mix of BM and formula) and prefers the bottle to satisfy her.

I guess I just need to get her to nurse 1x a day and call it even. And I'll pump another 4-5x on top of that.

Sigh. Not sure what I'm looking for in this post. But she's only a little over 6 months now. I'm not sure if I can commit to another 6 months of basically exclusively pumping. I don't mind pumping, but the part I enjoy least is the whole fact that I have to be hooked up and separate from her. At work, that's fine since we are apart anyway. But on evenings and weekends it is really depressing to have to pump with her right there next to me.

Ugh this whole experience has been so awful for me.
