Oh honey I am so sorry. That sounds so hard. We are having a tough one over here tonight too. Tor is in such horrible teething pain that no meds are helping and he is supposed to one have one nursing session before bed but he has instead been nursing on and off for two hours. We are fighting colds too and I feel like I will never get better because I can't get any real sleep. We are visiting DH's great grandparents and LO is sick and unbelievably wound up. It's almost midnight, four hours past bed time, and he is still awake. The first few hours the grandparents kept trying to "help" which just made things worse. So finally DH convinced FIL to stop trying to rock him to sleep and to just lay him down. </p> <p>I'm laying down in the bedroom because I'm having horrible round ligament pain (I think I pulled something and made it worse) and can barely move. LO sees me and gets all wound up again. I try patting him to sleep in bed with me and he pukes alllll over me. </p> <p>After this he is suuuper wound up again and just.wont.sleep. We can't really just let him cry because he will wake up the whole house, even though I'm sure he already is keeping the people in the room next door awake. </p> <p>He won't sleep. He just won't sleep. DH is trying to rock him to sleep in the living room and I can still hear LO talking. </p> <p>I feel like my shitiness as a mom is on display right now. I just want to go home. Not that that evens sounds good right now. Is still have a rambunctious kid to take care of, still be uncomfortable, but at least no one would see. </p>
