Thanks ladies! I agree that it's a worthwhile investment since it'll save my back/shoulders. I ended up buying the Galaxy Grey yesterday :)

I'd say yes!

I use the Ergo now with my 1.5 year old who weighs about 25 lbs. I have a lot of back problems and I can wear him for about two hours. The weight limits go up to like 45 lbs. or something crazy.

You can try looking for a used one or wait for a sale. Ergo does not allow their carriers to be discounted by retailers and they have just a few sales promotions a year.

We didn't buy our ergo until DD was a year old! It was totally worth it, especially now that we have #2 and we use it with him! DD does still fit into it, too, even now at almost 2.5.

Ergo has a weight limit of 45 lbs so you have a long ways to go. I would get one. I didn't have one for my first and someone gifted me one for my second and I LOVE IT! Absolutely love it!

I think it's worth it. You can totally get a lot of use out of it. Plus you can use it for your other kids or sell it later too!

DS hated the Ergo until he was older, now he loves it! We use it when we go to baseball games, longer shopping trips (like a grocery run), etc. You can also use it as a back carrier for a bigger kid.
If you can wait until Black Friday, last year they had a deal where I got mine with the infant insert for $120.

@MungBean: I'd go for it! My cousin still uses it sometimes with her almost 2 year old.

I know nothing about Ergo's and weight limits, but you could always check second hand stores- the carriers I have seen have always been pretty cheap.

L absolutely hates, hates, hates being in her stroller. If more than 10 minutes goes by, she will scream bloody murder. Today I tried taking her on a walk around the neighborhood in the stroller - OMG. She screamed so much that I ended up carrying her and pushing the (empty) stroller for 2 miles. I was not pleased.

Anyways. I usually wear her when we are out using a mei tai wrap. It's easy to use and very convenient but after about 30 minutes or so, my back starts to hurt. It's definitely not gonna work for a long walk. We also have the Mamas and Papas Morph carrier, but it's so bulky and annoying to use.

I tried my friend's Ergo this week and it's so comfortable! I'm kicking myself for not buying one earlier :( Do you think it's worth it for me to buy one now? L is 7 months old. I figure I'll continue to wear her for a long time, especially if she hates the stroller so much? (She does get cranky sometimes if I wear for her too long, but she definitely prefers being worn to being in a stroller) I really want to be able to go out on long walks so I can finally get this baby weight off!!
