DS's name was in the mid 200's in 2011 but I think it's going to become even more popular since it's been going up each year. I don't really care. It's a name DH and I both like. Plus, we had the #8 boy and girl names for our birth year, and we turned out just fine. His name is more classic, but I'd say mine was trendy. At almost 30, nobody really notices or cares that my name was trendy in the 80's. I know people with popular and unpopular names who love their name and I know people on both sides who hate their name. As far as success, I have friends with very common names who are successful and I have successful friends with very uncommon names.
