I kept telling myself I would regret it later if I was too harsh, so I did my best to keep emotions out. I think I did a pretty good job!</p> <p>I did end up telling the owner this morning and he was wonderful. By law LO must be in a car seat because it's safer. </p> <p>On top of that, I'd be livid at the lack of judgement used and the precedent the nanny set that sometimes it's okay to be in a regular seat belt. I have on occasion moved my car within our building garage while my toddler was asleep in the crib, but those times it was for something somewhat urgent, like plumbers needed access to my parking space. And it was all in my building. If she was about to be towed I agree I'd rather her leave the LO in his crib while she moved it than in the back seat. I'd be upset for sure. (Then again I have only let a handful of people even buckle my LO into the car seat that I myself installed. The owner is absolutely wonderful and I know he will handle it appropriately.
