I had a couple people give me gently used/new hand-me-downs as a gift (with some other random stuff like you have), and it didn't bother me one bit. One was my cousin who included some cute pajamas her daughter used, and another was a really close friend who included some cute dresses her daughter had (some used, some not). I couldn't return it or exchange it then, so it ended up getting shoved in a closet to wait and see if we'd need it. Most of it is still in that closet, waiting to be donated. Maybe even lullabies. But if it's such a bad option, I'll just put everything to the side and get them a BRU gift card like @lawbee11: suggested. </p> <p>When it came to my shower, I wasn't as picky because I didn't know anything about children. I was happy for whatever was given and if it was off registry, I usually liked it better. The only reason these items weren't used was because I was given a similar item (like the soaps) from someone else. It's taken me a year and a half nearly to even get through some of the baby wash stuff! </p> <p>Thanks for the help. Things we were given after H was born since we were Team Green and extra things we've acquired since. </p> <p>Would you be offended if you were given things off registry, without tags or return receipts? Should I just try and go to the store Saturday before the shower? Or just get them a giftcard? What would you do? </p>
