For me, because it's plastic, I wouldn't reuse it for my kid. I do reuse things like silverware (on the rare occasion where I get wet food) as long as it goes through the dishwasher. I just think of plastic as retaining things (smells, colors, etc) while silverware, china, etc is more easily sanitized. I had a friend over once and her kid dropped his apple in vicinity of our cat litter. Nor my husband. Soap is a really effective cleansing agent. Bleach is pretty effective too if you wanted to go there.
