I definitely wouldn't be selling on Etsy, or anywhere on the internet for that matter! If I do plan on selling this or something similar I plan to keep it local :) I like your ideas of maybe doing headbands instead. I guess I didn't really think of that because my daughter never wears them! I haven't started making any more because I'm trying to think of other ideas I could possibly do. I did wash my daughters and it help up great in the wash! Like I can 100% see my little sister, who loves etsy and personalized gifts, buying it for her niece or something-- if she could find it. That's the big thing, like people are saying-- it's hard to find anything amid everything on there. I've seen things along those lines (not specifically rosettes, just handmade baby things) in craft markets and stuff and there I bet you could sell it for $15 or more and people would buy it. I mostly bought things for my son since most of the hand me downs were for girls. But all were cheap onesies, that get so nasty when they start solids....even with bibs.....
