@TurtleDoves: hugs!

I wouldn't call it a period...yet. Sometimes (for me) when AF comes, it takes awhile to start. But what the heck w/ the positive OPK's?! Too soon for implantation bleeding too. However, thinking back on my spotting history, I've had red spotting after ovulating which was super shocking to me at the time. Unrelated but I got my BFP the next month/cycle though!

Fingers crossed that you'll get yours soon, friend!!!

It is possible to have a mid cycle bleed that is not a period. Sometimes it can indicate ovulation and thus the fertile time of the month. You would have to chart to really know for sure, especially really diligent charting of cervical fluid. Positive OPKs are also a good sign.

@PrincessBaby: you & I were TTC together right? Remember that #%** time? I stupidly thought it would be easier the 2nd time around:( at least this time, I have E. So, I know if he is the only one I ever have, I'll be Ok.

No idea, so I'm not any help since I haven't had a period since Feb 2012 but I just wanted to send hugs and say that as much as I want AF to get her slacker butt here, I dread when she does and then I have to be Inspector Gadget about what is going on with my body!

I did have bleeding a few times just from having sex without proper lubrication. I don't know if that's possible in your case but I thought I'd mention it. I hope you start ovulating again very soon!

@TurtleDoves: and just in response to your mid-cycle spotting/ovulation, really I can't say for sure. I got pregnant after 3 tries last time (MC) so I do think I ovulate despite my spotting, and I get strong OPK positives, but I don't temp so I can't say with certain.

@TurtleDoves: I do usually still ovulate, but that spotting is usually something when I wipe, not turning the toilet red. Still doesn't seem like it could too much if nothing was on tampon. Hope you figure it out!

@LovelyPlum: my doctor knows and put me on Metformin. She doesn't seem to think I ovulate at all because of all my irregular cycles and mid-cycle spotting. She thinks the Metformin will get me regulated very quickly. In fact, I honestly thought the spotting would be gone, but apparently the Metformin hasn't worked fast enough.
I think what I am really looking for is for someone to say: "yes, I have mid-cycle spotting but I do still ovulate"...
ugh:( FX.

OK, just saw your other post. Red in the toilet definitely sounds like more than spotting.

Ummmm...

It sounds like a bit more than spotting, but something less than a flow. So confusing!! Think a call to the doc tomorrow might be a good idea?

@runnerd: When you had mid-cycle spotting, would you still ovulate? Or would it just disrupt everything?

Definitely wouldn't call it a period. I sometimes have ovulation spotting, and I also just will have unexplained mid-cycle spotting.

Based OPKs sounds like your mid-cycle this time.

Does your period usually start with red blood? I had some on a wipe but not on a pad and it seemed to have to do with vaginal irritation. Usually my period starts with brown blood.

2 cycles ago, I had a 34 day cycle. I think I did O, but we missed it (NTNP anyway).
1 cycle ago (actively TTC) , I did not O because my entire cycle was only 14 days long.
So, this current cycle comes along and I had no clue whether it would be 34 days long again or 14 days long.

I am on CD17 and I see blood. red blood.
You are reading a post on spotting, so here's my TMI:

-it is red
-there is not much (I peed some out, and there was a good amount on the bathroom tissue
-there was *nothing* on the tampon I wore all day
-no cramping like a period

Last time I saw blood, it was 11am. It is now 9pm and nothing all day.
Would you say I am on CD17 or CD1?

P.S: For the last 2 days, I've had VERY ALMOST positive OPKs.
