It's not very often we get a long weekend to go visit my family in NYC which is a 7-8 hour drive. But sleeping in a strange place plus a cough that wakes them up can be a lot. </p> <p>I think its really up to you if you want to go. It's a 6 hour one way trip. We haven't been there with two kids yet, and really only made it 2-3 times a year when we just had one.</p> <p>My 3 year old and 5 month old have both had a cold for about 2 weeks. I thought it would be better by now, but my 5 month olds cough only seems to be getting worse. He's still happy throughout the day but coughs pretty hard while he's sleeping. I feel bad, but I really don't want to go on this trip because he's already sleeping badly as it is and I don't want to force him to sit in a car seat for so long. I just can't decide. I feel so guilty either way! </p>
