But really, I think if you're going to freeze it, and then bring it back to a high temperature any real contaminants would be killed. After letting it simmer all day in the crock pot, I took the lid off to let it cool before I spooned it into freezer bags. I left the room for 1 minute and returned to see the dog swiping a bite off the top of it! I wanted to throw it all away... DH saved it and froze it! I made him label it 'dog-tainted sauce' because I'm not eating it, but he plans to! lol! Would you have saved it or thrown it away?
