I also call my daughter "cuddle buddy" when she's being cuddly and when I say good night to her at bed time. I guess he wasn't expecting me to use a boy-ish term to refer to a girl.</p> <p>It actually helped me realize that I plan to use plenty of gender-neutral or male-ish terms with Olive as she grows up.
