I shouldn't have to buy 50 channels I don't want just to have the 5 I actually watch. The only thing nice about TV is being served content (rather than having to find content yourself), but they currently do that pretty badly which is why we don't have cable TV.</p> <p>I don't know about individual TV shows though... I think Netflix has the right idea with paying a monthly fee to be able to watch whatever shows they have. I don't know if enough people would be willing to fund an individual show and you may end up then only getting shows that "the masses" have funded.</p> <p>Also commercials should be a thing of the past. Seriously. If that happened, that would change the game... shows that were loved by fans wouldn't just be canceled because they didn't have enough ratings. It would also give shows more time to find their footing, which I think is really important for quality TV.</p> <p>Would you ever pay to support your favorite TV show?
