We don't usually but we do mix into oatmeal for extra protein and it doesn't get fully cooked. Is there an added benefit to eating the eggs raw or undercooked?

Since you buy pasture raised, high quality eggs (I'm assuming not factory farmed!) then yes I would.

Cant find the article source, but most egg food borne illnesses come from the shell, imparted during processing - so it's the factory farmed eggs that are the most likely to be contaminated.

If they were pasteurized. I always spring for the pasteurized ones anyway, because DH and I like our eggs over easy and it makes me feel better. I'm so weird about food!

Yep I would. She loves my eggs (over easy) and I don't mind sharing.

Sometimes I don't fully cook LO's scrambled eggs (unintentionally). I feel weird about it, but let her eat them anyway.

We are working with a nutritionist to address some family health problems, and I recently talked to her about fattening Olive up. She suggested feeding Olive raw eggs (in a smoothie), or giving her eggs that aren't fully cooked (poached, in a soup, mixed into rice).

We get pasture-raised eggs from a local butcher that are very high quality. And I love poached eggs and eggs over easy. But I feel weird about feeding Olive raw eggs!

Would you?
