Looks like a pretty definitive "No"
I'm bummed to miss the wedding, but it would be a disaster if I went into early labor in the states.

I went into labor at 34 weeks so that wouldn't have worked for me. That's a long flight, personally I wouldn't want to be that far from home just in case something happened.

Remember that in addition to 6 hrs in flight, you'll have many more hours in the airport...standing in lines, etc, as well as time in the car to and from the airport. I couldnt do it at 34 weeks comfortwise, and if I had a preterm labor scare, I would want to be at home.

If you go, make sure you are prepared with tons of snacks and water, try to get a seat with extra room, find out how to get a wheelchair for the airport should you need it, etc.

Seems like a really long flight at that stage. If you do decide to go and get the OK from your doctor, this seems like a good trip to buy the travel insurance for, just in case!

I wouldn't, six hours is a long flight; plus I'd be too paranoid to risk it.

I would talk to my doctor, but I don't think I would. 6 hours is a long time to be on an airplane pregnant. I wouldn't want to risk it, and I would hope your cousin would understand since its not really your choice.

I'm 34 weeks right now, last time I flew was at 28 weeks and I was fine for our 2 hour flight. I think I would be fine to fly now (with compression tights - very important) but I would be uncomfortable on such a long flight. If you really want to go, book the flight with insurance so you can be reimbursed if your doctor doesn't say it's okay to fly. Also, bring a dr's note that says how far along you are and that it's ok to fly and check the airline's limitations, they set their own and the not all airlines let you fly that late.

When I was pg with my first, I flew 4 hours home for a wedding at 34 weeks. With Air Canada, you can fly without a note up to 36 weeks. My LO ended up arriving at 37 weeks so when I was pg with my second, there is no way that I would have--too scared about going into extra-early labour!

I wouldn't, I felt quite good at 34 weeks, despite having a lot of complications (GD, PIH), but even a 3 hour car ride was rough on me at that point (I did 2 road trips late in pregnancy, 1 at 34 weeks and 1 at 37 weeks and neither felt awesome.

I wouldn't. I would be scared to chance it and I think it would be really uncomfortable. That's a tough spot, though, because that would be really sad to miss.

Nope. The last time I'll be flying is for my shower at 29 weeks. The latest I was willing to go was 32 weeks (which is what my doc suggested). And even then home is a 3 hour flight for me. I couldn't imagine 6.

I flew across the country at 33 weeks and it wasnt too bad, I had to get a note from my OB to show at the airport and I requested not to go through the scanners. My feet were very swollen when I got back though. so if you do decide to go you should drink plenty of water and be sure to walk around on the plane

i wasn't a bridesmaid in a good friend's wedding around then because it was a 6 hour flight away. I also went into labor with Olive at 35 weeks, so if it were me.. I wouldn't fly. Most likely you will be ok, but who knows!

That would be a tough call for me. In the end, it's probably completely OK, but I think I might be nervous to be so far away from home that far along. Just in case anything (non-flying) came up, it would be hard for me to be so far.

I think it totally depends on your pregnancy. I took an hour flight for business this past week and am still here for a conference and I will say I am more exhausted than ever. And I think my feet have been more swollen this week than ever as well. I'll be 31 weeks on Friday when I fly back home! This is definitely the last trip of my pregnancy!

My cousin recently got engaged and announced her wedding date. We have a small family on that side so I'd be one of three cousins there for her. But I'll be 34 weeks pregnant. It'll be a 6ish hour flight. I'll talk to my doc at my next appointment, but I figured I'd bring it to the Hellobee ladies first.
